Our Sponsors

The inaugural Dr. Jim Boerner Nursery-Pediatric Golf Tournament took place in May of 2021. The fund was created in 1984 and renamed in 2021 to honor the late Dr. Jim Boerner, an OBGYN who touched the lives of many. Dr. Boerner delivered the last baby born at the old Rutherford Hospital and the first newborn at the Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. This year’s golf tournament will take place Monday, June 1, 2026 at The Grove. Sponsorships are available now! Click here  to view the 2026 Corporate Sponsorship Brochure.

Event Impact

The Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Foundation Dr. Jim Boerner Nursery–Pediatric Golf Tournament supports mission-critical initiatives that expand access to care and strengthen community health for our Nursery, the Lee and Susan Moss Family NICU, and Pediatric services.

100% of proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the 3rd Floor OB Expansion Project – Delivering a Legacy of Care, a transformational investment in Women’s and Obstetric Services at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. This project will create a modern, state-of-the-art environment for growing families across Rutherford County.

Rutherford County is one of Tennessee’s fastest-growing communities, adding nearly 10 new households every day. Last year alone, the hospital welcomed 3,627 babies, and demand for maternity care continues to rise.

To meet this need, the 3rd Floor OB Expansion Project will add:

  • Four new Labor & Delivery rooms
  • Nine new postpartum rooms
  • A satellite nursery
  • Improved patient flow to better group families based on their care needs

This expansion will allow the hospital to serve 100 additional mothers and babies in the first year, growing to 500 more families annually within the next decade.

Your sponsorship directly supports this expansion—helping ensure every mother and baby in Rutherford County receives safe, compassionate, and advanced care.

Sponsorship commitments are requested by Monday, May 4, 2026,to ensure recognition in tournament materials.
